One of Arsenal’s legends Ray Parlour has expressed his doubt over the future of Arsenal man Alexis Sanchez at the Emirate stadium.
Sanchez, 27, had an injury plagued season last term, scoring 17 goals in all competitions for Arsenal in what was a below par performance for the Chilean International by his own standard, following a grand debut campaign in the English Premier League. The Attacker look set to be offered an improved contract to stay at Arsenal but Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has expressed he’s worries about whether Sanchez will stay at the Emirate much longer.
Speaking to talkSPORT, ‘I was a little bit worried about him come the end of the season,
‘Will he want to move on and go somewhere different? He’s top quality and you want to keep those sorts of players if you’re going to be looking at the title next season.’
Sanchez is currently representing his country Chile at the ongoing Copa America Centinario in The United States of America.
Sanchez played as Chile lost 2-1 to Argentina in their first group game, meaning they face an uphill task to qualify for the knockout phase. The player has admitted he is already tired at the Copa America. Arsenal fans are already worried about his fitness given that he never rests.
Sanchez, currently earns £130,000-a-week in Arsenal, and has since been linked with top European clubs like Bayern Munich and Juventus in recently.
