These are exciting times for Arsenal – a season that started poorly has been steadily impressive with several players putting up cameos as expected.
Bar Alexis Sanchez, Granit Xhaka and Santi Cazorla who have held their own when featured in our games this season, Alex Iwobi has turned out the biggest academy revelation for Arsenal this year.
Last season, Arsenal’s team suffered a deep in form towards the end of last season – it was apparent in the performance of Mesut Ozil who was certain the break the Premier League assist record of Theirry Henry but didn’t succeed with that.
Ozil, 27, had 16 assist going into 2016 but managed only three more assist for his team mates as we struggled but ended up as runners up in the League behind Leicester City on the Premier League log.
Other Arsenal youngsters were known but Iwobi broke into the first team of Arsenal in March this year with impressive camoes against Barcelona and Everton. The 20-year-old Nigerian seem to be improving by the day and has carried same form of last season into this year’s campaign.
He put up a man of the match performance against Hull City last weekend with two assists to his name. he thought he had scored Arsenal’s first goal but it was given to Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean got the final touch.

But the silver lining for Iwobi is that, after providing another assist in the win at the KCOM stadium, he is now leading the way in terms of league assists for Arsenal this calender year with five compared to Ozil’s three.
