ARSENAL boss Unai Emery is trying to offload Mesut Ozil in hope of signing Yannick Carrasco, it’s claimed.
Emery has been vocal on Arsenal’s January transfer plans, with the Spaniard revealing the Gunners can only complete loan deals due to a lack of funds.
Arsenal are hoping to sign Barcelona ace Denis Suarez this month, while the Gunners have also been heavily linked with Dalian Yifang attacker Carrasco.
And according to TuttoMercatoWeb, Arsenal boss Emery is desperately trying to offload Ozil to fee up funds for Carrasco.
They say the Gunners boss has offered the German to Juventus and Inter Milan.
However, Ozil’s £350,000-a-week wage is a stumbling block for the Italian giants.
uttoMercatoWeb add that Arsenal could afford Chinese Super League star Carrasco if they can offload Ozil this month.
Emery opted to leave Ozil out of his Arsenal squad that lost at West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
