ARSENAL transfer target Caglar Soyuncu admits his future is in Freiburg’s hands despite his desire to head to the Emirates.

Soyuncu has forged a reputation as one of the most promising centre-backs in Europe over the past two seasons.

The 21-year-old Turkey international is on Arsenal’s summer shopping list as transfer chiefs seek to bolster Unai Emery’s squad.

The Gunners are already thought to have made their interest in getting Soyuncu on-board known to Freiburg.

Soyuncu has now responded to Arsenal chasing him by revealing he wants to head to north London.

But he’s admitted the fact he’s tied down at Freiburg represents a major stumbling block to a move going through.

“Arsenal is an option,” Soyuncu told Turkish outlet Gunes. “I hope I go to Arsenal.

“I want to play there, but everything depends on my team. Because I still have a three-year contract.”

Soyuncu also discussed offers he has received to return to his homeland, where he began his career with Altinordu.

“Yes, I received bids from some of the teams in Turkey,” said Soyuncu. “I would not be able to give the team a name, but I did not accept it.
