Sead Kolasinac has described his Premier League debut for Arsenal against Leicester as ’emotional’… he’s not wrong.

What an introduction to the Premier League Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette got, eh?

Arsenal’s 4-3 thrilled against Leicester on Friday night showed the best and worse of England’s top tier.

It had early goals, counter-attacking football, embarrassing defending, players being stuck out of position, and a plucky comeback.

Arsenal’s new boys both impressed, with Lacazette scoring his first competitive goal in red and white, and former Schalke left-back Kolasinac admitting that it was an emotional debut.

“It was very emotional and very dramatic,” he said, reports Arsenal.com.
“I think we started well, went 1-0 up straightaway but then conceded. That was a blow but I think we had the game under control before we conceded the second, which was really annoying.
“We made it 2-2 before half-time and said then that if we could score soon after the break, we’d win the game. But then we conceded again and had a 10-minute phase after where things didn’t go so well. But then it was a game going at one goal. We made it 3-3 and managed to get the winner soon after.
“My first Premier League game was very emotional.”

The 24-year-old completed 59/70 passes (84%) and won four tackles. He also assisted Danny Welbeck’s goal – Arsenal’s second – just before half time, putting his new team on level terms at the break.

The seven-goal clash will give Kolasinac a taster of what’s to come and prove just how exhausting the Premier League can be.

The Bosnia international was one of the Gunners’ best players on the night and has steadily been improving throughout pre-season.

Arsenal’s next match is away to Stoke on Saturday 19 August, which is always a tough test. Although at least this time the Gunners have a tank of their own to roll into battle against the Potters.
