Wenger’s Penny Pinching Set To Ruin Move For 23 Million Pounds World Class Midfielder

Mirror is reporting this morning that Everton Belgian star, Marouane Fellaini will like to move to the Emirates this summer but retains the fear that the dream may just be a dream unless Wenger pays up. Recently, goal.com and several out news outlet reported that Arsenal has matched the big Belgian’s 23 Million pound release clause.

However, mirror claim those reports are not true but instead that Wenger is undecided on whether Fellaini is worth the 23 million pounds Everton want for him even though he is apparently very interested in the midfielder. The new reports if true can only get Arsenal fans angry.

This news will surely delight Everton fans who will be happy if their club manages to Fellaini signed for Everton from Standard Liege for a few of £15m that increased to £17m due to bonus clauses agreed upon when signing him.

In the little over 5 years he has spent in the premier league, Fellaini has shown he is one of the most complete midfielders in the game and at 25, he is just hitting his peak which can only benefit whoever signs him.

  1. This is a totally ridiculous comment.Arsenal hav not made a bid and they are not interested in the player. Both Martinez and Fellaini have stated that the player will not be going anywhere this season. Why would anybody believe anything published in the Mirror, come on get a life.

  2. In every rumour there’s an element of truth. I won’t doubt completely that Fellani can leave Everton if a good bargain comes however i am of the believe that Wenger being who he is will not like to pay money for anything of value. He will prefer two cheap players for £10m each that cannot both deliver half of what Fellani would give.

  3. It’s a shame to Wenger and his board if they can’t snap up this guy. Always telling stories of ‘having money to spend bla bla!

  4. Mr. Wenger !
Be selfless 4 once n make ur fans happy.
Arsenal FC is one of d richest clubs in Europe, yet we cant compete in d transfer market.
    It’s hurting n shamful.

  5. When ivan was boasting that arsenal have enough 2 spend, i doubted cos this 70m has been there for 3yrs unutilized. Wot a shame 2 Arsene and board!

  6. Fellaini at 16m- possible- although he would be a bit–part player. At 23m he is a complete no-no for Arsenal. He can’t pass and move for a start and could only play DM which is not his best position by far. There are better DMs out there at much less money.
