Arsene Wenger has given a decisive update on ’s  future and has dismissed previous reports in the process.

The Gunners boss was asked in his press conference ahead of the League Cup clash with Chelsea, whether any clubs had made an offer for Sanchez.

Wenger simply replied “no” before another journalist asked whether he still expected the attacker to stay.

“I expect nothing,” answered Wenger, as quoted by Arsenal’s official site.

“When solicitations happen, you respond to it, at the moment, it’s very quiet.”

A previous report on Sunday courtesy of a Chilean journalist stated that  had submitted an offer of £20million for the attacker but Wenger’s comments have now conflicted that report.

The Arsenal manager went on to reveal that he doesn’t believe Sanchez’s presence in the team causes an issue and that the attacker could face Chelsea on Wednesday.
