The Gunners are keen on prising Rodriguez away from Bayern Munich — the midfielder is on loan from Real Madrid until the summer but that agreement can be cut short for a £3m fee.
Rodriguez, who has not started for Bayern since November 3, is open to a move to the Premier League and could sign for the Gunners in January if Aaron Ramsey’s proposed move to Juventus goes through before next week’s deadline.
But Juan Carlos Restrepo says the 27-year-old is keeping his options open, and could see out his time at the Allianz Stadium before returning to Real.
“He is comfortable in Munich,” Restrepo said
“I don’t have news about it, but there may be offers based on those rumours coming from England.
“He is calm and he feels that he’s at a good level again and that he’s physically strong.
“That gives us a perspective that he is happy, motivated and working well, as he is eager to achieve new success.”
