As the teeming and faithful fans of Arsenal trip into the Emirates Stadium bracing the summer and a new Premier League season, they expect to see more additions to their squad.
We reported earlier this week that Arsenal were in talks with French outfit Olympique Lyonaise for the signature of their goal poacher Aleksandre Lacazette. The Gunners are now close to completing the deal for the player with reports emerging this morning that Arsenal will make an improved bid for the player.
Lyon revealed they had rejected a bid of £31.8million last week, and as a result, are lining up a bid in the region of £34m – Lacazette’s minimum release clause. It is believed that the club will be unable to resist this offer.
Wenger earlier revealed that he will add an experienced attacker to his squad and Lacazette seem to tickle his fancy at the moment. Oliver Giroud is still on holidays after playing through to the finals of the European Championship and Welbeck is out nursing a long term injury.
Following his consistency over the last two seasons, Lacazette will be a top-quality addition to Arsenal.
