Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Serbian winger Andrija Zivkovic and may well make another approach after failing last summer.

According to latest reports, Arsenal watched Zivkovic play in Portugal for Benfica throughout all of last season and are now monitoring him at international level, with a potential view to procuring his signature.

The 20-year-old is currently away with the Serbia U21s at this summer’s U21 European Championships in Poland. Over 130 scouts from all around Europe are in attendance.

Arsenal tried to sign Zivkovic last summer while he was at Partizan Belgrade, but ultimately missed out. He went on to join Benfica and now has a host of clubs keen on signing him.

It’s believed that he has a €60m buyout clause in his contract, and the difficult in buying talent from Benfica – who always sell their players for large prices – means Zivkovic could be too expensive for Arsenal to make a move for.
