According to latest reports in the media, Arsenal are eyeing another youngster in a bid to sign a new defender this summer transfer window.
The Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger disclosed last month that his next priority is adding a striker and a defender to his squad n an expected total of “two or three” more signings after the signing of Switzerland international midfielder Granit Xhaka.
The Gunners had earlier been linked with several defenders this summer, and the latest man on the ever growing list looks to be Juventus wonder kid Daniele Rugani.
Arsenal is now watching closely the situation of Rugani with a view of securing the signature of the centre-back ahead of the forth coming 2016/17 season, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Reports indicate that Serie A champions Juventus have placed a price tag of about £8 million on the defender, with the Gunners having made an initial enquiry about the 21-year-old defender.
Massimiliano Allegri, the Juventus boss recently revealed that heis not willing to sell the youngster, who is believed to be a key part of the club’s future.
Allegri said, “Managing Rugani and the other youngsters is down to me, so I have to do this to my best. Rugani is and will be the future of Juventus and Italian football.”
