Arsenal have agree yet another big transfer business and an announcement is imminent according to various reports in both the Italian and the Polish media thiis evening. According to the reports, both Arsenal and AS Roma have agreed terms for Wojciech Szszesny to remain in the serie A for another year.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper spent last seaosn on loan at AS Roma, it was initially thought he would be recalled as David Ospina was rumoured to be on his way out of the club but it appears Ospina will stay and Szszesny will instead remain in Italy. Roma reportedly initially wanted the deal to be made permanent but Wenger won’t have any of that and then the Italian didn’t want to pay more than 50% of his wages which was why the deal hasn’t been announced so far according to the reports.

It is all now done and dusted and Szszesny will continue with Roma next season. And interestingly, Szszesny could now be used as part of the deal that will bring Kostas Manolas to Arsenal. Arsenal have been linked with the Greece international for the last couple of weeks.

  1. This is really a very poor business to Arsenal , to send mature players on loan and pay part of their wages till their contracts ends or get to the last year then either the go free or for a very low price
