Legendary Arsenal goal keeper David Seaman believes the English Premier League winners Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy would bolster Arsenal squad well to win the title r next season.
The Gunners have been linked with a surprise move for Vardy, who will help to increase the Gunners attacking options for upcoming campaign. The deal is valued to be £20m.
The English man scored 24 goals in 36 Premier League matches; and played a pivotal role in the Foxes wining the Premier League title.
The former Arsenal shot stopper Seaman approved Arsene Wenger’s chase of the 29-year-old Leicester striker after the Gunners reportedly triggered the strikers release clause.
Seaman told 888sport. “No, [I’m not surprised by the bid], not really, I was hoping that he’d come,”
“He gives us another option, Jamie Vardy is not just a ball over the top player, he’s got a lot more to his game, and if he can bring that into the Arsenal side as well as a ball over the top outlet, then he’d be a great signing.”

According to report, Arsenal will have to wait until after the Euros to complete the deal of Jamie Vardy, but Arsene Wenger hopes it could be concluded as sooner. Reports from Squawk.com has it that Vardy has agreed personal terms with the gunners and his wages is set to double what he is currently receiving at Leicester City.
Arsenal, who finished in second position last season has had to contend with inconsistent and less popular French international forward Olivier Giroud who scored 16 goal in 38 Premier League appearances for the Gunners last season and signing Vardy would increase their chances for next season.
