Arsenal thumped Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium but it was Alexis Sanchez’s reaction to his being substituted that is making the rounds in the media.
The Chilean was visibly frustrated as he was taken off in the second half by Wenger with the games comfortably won.
With Sanchez still to sign a new contract at the Emirates his every reaction is being dissected and analysed.
And after the match, Wenger dismissed suggestions Sanchez was injured and insisted he didn’t want to gamble on his star man.
He said: “Alexis Sanchez is not injured, he just wanted to stay on the pitch.
“I did not want to take a gamble on him.”
Sanchez, though, who scored Arsenal’s final goal against Paul Clement’s side on Saturday afternoon, has shrugged off the incident in the second-half.
‘Happy for our victory and for our team,’ the Chilean attacker told his followers on Instagram after the clash….
