Having signed a young player in Takuma Asano, Arsenal might have solved their attacking problem for next season or even beyond, but currently the North London club only have French striker Olivier Giroud as their only “world class” striker and that might be a big problem for the club next season as they look to challenge for the league title next season.
Arsenal did sign Granit Xhaka for the midfield and they will need a top striker to give competition to Giroud next season.
Lacazette who has since been linked to the club might not be the top name in the world, but he is one of the best and here are three reasons why he is the best option for the Gunners.
Deadly in front of goal
Alexandre Lacazette is one of the deadliest strikers in world football and if he gets a sniff in front of goal, he will score. Little wonder he scored 54 goals in the last two seasons for French club Lyon and even won the Ligue 1 top scorer of the year award in 2014-15.
Passing is excellent
He does not only score goals but he assists his teammates and is known for his quick and incisive passing which would be an added advantage for Arsenal. He possesses and has almost 80% passing accuracy.
Movement will suit Arsenal’s play
The central striker, often drift out wide which should help the other Arsenal players take up better scoring positions.
