The Arsenal faithful has reacted to Arsene Wenger’s latest move in the transfer market as the squad gradually takes shape for the new season.
Wenger had not sold a first team player since Serge Gnabry was allowed to join Werder Bremen very late in last summer’s transfer window.
And the Gunners boss ended that run on Wednesday as Wojciech Szczesny, who was one of the longest-serving players in the current squad, completed his move to Juventus.
The 27-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan AS Roma where his impressive displays saw him earn more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the Serie A last term.
However, his departure does not appear to have bothered much of the Arsenal faithful – for footballing reasons at least – due to his erratic career at the Emirates Stadium.
