Arsenal have agreed a deal worth £30m to sgn Borussia Monchengladbach’s Granit Xhaka. The deal is done and dusted but Arsenal fans are earnestly waiting for when the club will officially announce the deal. However, according to a report bu Daily Mirror’s John Cross, the player will be unveiled as an Arsenal player within the next 48 hours.
According to John Cross, the deal is agreed and Xhaka has passed his medical. The photoshot was reportedly rush through by Arsenal over the weekend in order to allow the player to join up with his team mates in Switzerland as they prepare for the European Championship.
Aside Granit Xhaka, Arsenal are also said to be in talks to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in a deal said to be in the region of €50 million. Although currently on the books of Juventus, it is reported that Madrid will be buy him back from Juventus due to the existence of a clausen and then resell him to the highest bidder.
Also linked is Bolton’s Rob Holding. The high rated centre back is reportedly seen as the long term replacement for Per Mertesacker who is likely to leave the club at the end of his contract in 2017. A bid of £3 million is reported to have been tabled for the young English defender.
