Arsenal had breakthrough in deals for new boy Cohen Bramall and Jon Toral this week and Wenger is yet unrelenting in his quest to secure the future of Arsenal.
Following the contract extension signed by Oliver Giroud and his compatriot, the French striker reckons that Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will follow suit.
Fresh from signing his own extension, Giroud said he is keen for Ozil and Sanchez – who each have 18 months remaining on their current Arsenal contracts – to follow suit and commit their futures to the club.
“Obviously we hope they’re going to do the same but it’s up to the player,” Giroud told Sky Sports News HQ. “I really wanted to sign another contract and I don’t know what they want, but hopefully they will do it soon.”
The stumbling block to the duo signing a new deal is obviously a wage demand and Wenger should give them their worth as it is done in other clubs.
