According to a report via Sky Sport claims Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero.

Unai Emery is going to have to dip into the market for a new keeper after Cech confirmed earlier this month that he will retire from football once his current contract expires at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan from Juventus, and has featured 21 times for Sampdoria, who are eighth in Serie A, this season.

Audero has made 20 Serie A appearances this season, keeping eight clean sheets and coming in ninth in terms of shots saved this season.

With Petr Cech announcing that he will retire at the end of the season and David Ospina looking like he will seal a permanent move to Napoli, many wondered if Emi Martinez’s time at the club had finally come. It seems not.

Last week it was reported that Arsenal made an offer to Brazilian keeper, Brazao, but the 18-year-old, who currently plays for Cruzeiro’s B team, rejected the offer made to him by the club. He will instead play for Chievo Verona until the end of the season and then join Inter Milan in the summer.
