Arsenal ran rally of the Liberty Stadium landlords but it wasn’t the victory that generated lots of attention but the reaction of Chilean international Alexis Sanchez when he was substituted
ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has played down Alexis Sanchez’s angry reaction to being substituted in the 4-0 win over Swansea.
The Chilean was visibly frustrated as he was taken off in the second half by Wenger with the games comfortably won.
With Sanchez still to sign a new contract at the Emirates his every reaction is being dissected and analysed.
And after the match, Wenger dismissed suggestions Sanchez was injured and insisted he didn’t want to gamble on his star man.
He said: “Alexis Sanchez is not injured, he just wanted to stay on the pitch.
“I did not want to take a gamble on him.”
