The summer of 2013 saw Arsene Wenger departed from his norm of not spending big on players – he smashed Arsenal’s transfer record to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid in a 42million Pounds deal.
Since Ozil joined Arsenal, we have won two FA Cups and have done relatively well in the League. The Germany international was of the Premier League assist chart last season but he has been off the boil in recent times.
Ozil has scored two goals this term but he has managed just one assist in his last 16 games for Arsenal. This is according to a stat revealed by Opta.
Mesut Özil has one goal assist in his last 16 Premier League appearances.

There are concerns over the midfielders form who was dubbed as the assist king of the Premier League. For a player who made an incredible 19 assists last term, he should be doing better this season.
We were lucky to secure the three points last weekend at the Turf Moore. Ozil looked far from his best as it was evident in his passes and runs.
He needs to work harder because he know with his inch-perfect passes, the attack of Arsenal can be more productive.
Not known for being much of a goalscorer, some will question what Ozil brings to the team if he’s no longer setting up Arsenal’s strikers for goals.
