Aaron Ramsey’s long-term future is almost certainly away from Arsenal after reports emerged that the club have told the midfielder he’s free to leave.
The 27-year-old’s future at the Emirates Stadium is set to end in 2019, after talks over a new deal collapsed at the start of October.
And according to reports, club executives have since explained to Ramsey that the decision was taken in the long-term interests of the club’s financial health.
The Wales international could be more inclined to leave the club in the summer rather than in January.
Despite making 12 appearances for the club, Ramsey has mostly been used as an impact sub for Unai Emery this season.
He signed for the Gunners in 2008 from Cardiff and has so far gone on to make over 343 appearances for the north Londoners.
