Arsenal were able to salvage the three points against Sean Dyche men but it was the referee’s unclassy decisions that made the game tougher for us.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wengher described Alexis Sanchez winning penalty against Burnley as ‘too cool’ after the Chilean chipped his effort over Tom Heaton.
The Gunners looked set to drop two crucial points at home to Burnley after Andre Gray’s stoppage-time spot-kick cancelled out Shkodran Mustafi’s opener at the Emirates.
However, the home side were awarded a penalty themselves in the dying seconds and Sanchez made no mistake to clinch the three points.
But Wenger did not appear overly pleased with Sanchez for the manner in which he scored from the spot.
When asked about the dramatic penalty, Wenger said: ‘Too cool. Giroud was our first penalty taker today.
‘You have to accept and celebrate that he scored.’
On the game, Wenger added: ‘We finally got the win but of course it was very difficult for us.
‘We couldn’t get the second goal, we played with 10 men and they played well as well. In the end we got the three points we wanted.
‘Burnley are well organised, they make the game simple but efficient. We won there in the last second and we one again in the last second today.
‘Every week and every game is an unbelievable fight for everybody.’
