Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez is keen to push through a summer move away from the Foxes, and favours a move to Arsenal over any other club.
Mahrez has withdrawn the transfer request he made when Leicester turned down a £50m January bid from Premier League winners Manchester City.
The Express Sport claim that although the transfer request has been removed, Mahrez is still focussed on leaving the club in the summer – and favours a transfer to Arsenal.
The Algerian was desperate to leave in January, when Man City were told they would have stump up £80m if they were to agree a deadline day deal.
Although Man City may make another move in the summer, London appears to be Mahrez’s preferred destination, with Tottenham and Chelsea both alternatives if Arsenal don’t stump up the cash.
Leicester manager Claude Puel delivered a swift “no comment” when asked if the Algerian had been told he would be allowed to leave.
