Premier League clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, have gotten a glimpse hope of as regards landing Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Reports have it that the Armenia international is refusing to sign a new contract with Dortmund.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed time under Thomas Tuchel, scoring 18 goals and assisting 20 more in the process. This has finally added consistency to his undoubted qualities.
The midfielder who is a former Shakhtar Donetsk player will have his current deal expire at the end of next summer and is reported to have no intention of penning a new deal.
Now this makes it precarious for Dortmund who will have to sell him during the current transfer window, or losing him for nothing in a year’s time. Arsenal are looking to add the Armenia star to their ranks after securing the services of Xhaka to bolster their midfield.
Chelsea are also looking to add the star to their rankings as they see him as a potential replacement for Oscar who will not be part of Antonio Conte’s plans.
