ARSENAL will look to cap off a fine few days with victory against Huddersfield at the Emirates – but will Mesut Ozil return to the fold?
Unai Emery’s men made it 19 games unbeaten in all competitions with victory over rivals Tottenham last weekend and followed it up with a draw against Manchester United in midweek.
Next up is David Wagner’s Terriers, a plucky outfit once more this season and a team who keep on picking up the important points along the way.
Indeed, the Yorkshire side won their first away game of the campaign at Wolves a couple of weeks ago.
For Arsenal, the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira are now really starting to perform.
And while they still look shaky defensively, Emery is beginning to stamp his preferred style of play on his new team.
But German playmaker Ozil, who has been out of action for the last four games, looks set to miss out once more.
The 30-year-old was ruled out of the north London derby with a back problem and also missed Wednesday’s draw with Manchester United.
“I don’t see Unai Emery bringing him back in now as Arsenal will try to play in the same vein as they did against Tottenham and Manchester United.
“Huddersfield were bang unlucky against Bournemouth and I also thought they were unlucky against Brighton with Steve Mounie’s sending off.
“However, I don’t see anything but an Arsenal win. They will have too much for David Wagner’s side at the Emirates.”
And Merson thinks that the home team will win the game 3-1.
Three points for Arsenal could potentially see them move up to third in the Premier League, above Tottenham and Chelsea.
Spurs, who beat Southampton at Wembley last time out, face a trip to Leicester.
Chelsea welcome Manchester City to Stamford Bridge after losing to Wolves in midweek.
