Many times, football fans rely on hints on twitter, facebook or wikipedia and other social media outlets to discover who their clubs have secretly signed. About two weeks ago, a picture was going round on twitter that showed Jamie Vardy has followed a couple of Arsenal fans on twitter. Fast forward one week later it was reported that Arsenal have triggered Vardy’s release clause and have agreed personal terms with the player. This means all those times Vardy was busy following Arsenal fans on twitter, he was sending an hint across.
And it appears Henrikh Mkhitaryan is now also a Gunner as a look at his wikipedia page shows he is listed as an Arsenal player. And considering the reports from Germany that kept saying Mkhitaryan has set his mind on playing for Arsenal, it will not be a surprise if someone is trying to send a message across to Arsenal fans through the wikipedia page.
Mkhitaryan who scored 19 goals and created 24 assists in 42 games in all competition last season is said to have been in talks with Arsenal, and it was even reported that Dick Law had flown to Germany to hold talks with the player and his club. Maybe the talks were successful and the player is now an Arsenal player? It won’t be a surprise and should it happen, it will send a massive statement of intent across to our Premier League rivals and to the rest of the world.
