With Mathiue Debuchy looking like he will be leaving Arsenal this summer with Lyon, West Ham United and Leicester City said to be interested in signing him, Arsenal could do with the signing of another right back. Last summer, we were linked with the signing of Dani Alves and some section of the Spanish media have once again linked us with the signing of the Brazilian.
However, judging by the pictures doing the rounds on the social media, the player is current in Italy to undergo a medical with Juventus. The Old lady, as Juventus is called seem to have won the race for the signature of the player and this is widely reported.
Should Dani Alves move to Juventus, Barca will need someone to replace him and this could well be bad news for Arsenal. The Catalans have been linked with the signing of Hector Bellerin and it will not be a surprise if they table a bid for their former youth player.
Although Arsenal do not have to sell but a bid from Barca could unsettle the player and will affect the player’s performance next season which is the least Arsenal needs. Also, knowing Barca, they always have their ways, if they are serious about signing Bellerin, and the player wants to move, it will not be a surprise if Arsenal are forced to sell him.
We never wanted to sell Fabregas the season we sold him did we? The club wanted one more season from the now Chelsea player but Barca had their way.
