Thomas Lemar may be one of the few star names remaining at Monaco this summer – but the winger is clearly out to make a point that he is still happy with the French champions.
Arsenal have been desperate to land the France international during the past couple of months and have made three bids for the 21-year-old.
But despite cashing in on the likes of Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva, Tiemoure Bakayoko and potentially Kylian Mbappe, Monaco have refused to part company with Lemar.
The attacker is believed to be keen on a move to the Emirates and showed serious signs of frustration recently when he left training early after a spat between Mbappe and Fabinho.
But Lemar has taken to social media tonight for only the third time in a month to let Monaco fans know he remains more than happy to be at the club by posting two pictures of himself, the second of which was with a beaming smile on his face during training.
t comes on the same day that Arsene Wenger hinted that he may not be adding anyone else to his squad before the end of the transfer window in a fortnight’s time.
The Arsenal boss suggested the next two weeks would be spent looking to get players out of the club, rather than bringing anyone in.
He said: “Getting players out keeps you as busy as getting people in, so I think I will be busy.”
Arsenal are desperate to unload several players this summer to free up space on the wage bill.
