It seem that Arsene Wenger’s major worry in his squad is to get Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to sign contract extension.
According to report, Arsenal midfielder, Santi Cazorla appear to have signed a one-year contract extension as confirmed via documents on the Football Association website.
The Spanish midfielder is currently out injured for the Gunners and may not play again this season after two operations on an injured ankle.
However, Arsene Wenger seems to have faith that Cazorla can get back to his best in an Arsenal shirt after activating a clause to extend his current deal for another year.
Documents show that the 32-year-old’s contract registration went through on the 20th of December, though the club are yet to confirm the deal.
Wenger has previously hinted he’d like to keep Cazorla, who would have been a free agent at the end of this season if he’d declined to put pen to paper.
However, it increasingly looks like he has joined Per Mertesacker in committing his future to Arsenal.
