Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson, currently on loan at Hoffenheim in Germany, remained in England after the conclusion of the Bundesliga’s winter break, for ‘family reasons’.
Nelson initially came back to England over the German winter break, for a standard holiday. However, Hoffenheim then confirmed that he’d remain in London ‘for family reasons’, ruling him out of their first training session back.

Hoffenheim don’t play their next game until Friday 18th January, so there’s no real rush. However, it appears he’s made his return to Germany now.
As it stands, Nelson still has more goals than starts for Hoffenheim. He’s scored seven in the first half of the season with the club, as well as assisting one, despite only starting five matches.
Nonetheless, the goals began to dry up a bit towards the end of the year, with Nelson’s last one coming in mid-November. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Hoffenheim’s results have suffered, with six consecutive league draws since that last goal for the winger.
Hopefully, now that he’s returned to Germany, the goals will start to come back too.
