Photo! Blow as Arsenal midfielder post gruesome injury – Not Elneny

In recent times, the name Arsenal have become synonymous with injury and this has largely affected the clubs quest for titles.

The latest player in the injury bed is now Alex Iwobi who was tackled by a Sutton player yesterday in Arsenal’s FA Cup tie.

The Nigeria international started the 2-0 win against the non-league minnows, but it looks like he had a tough time of things if this Snapchat picture from afterwards is anything to go by…

Iwobi has been a key player for Arsenal this season and not one they’ll want to miss, but this image of his bandaged foot certainly doesn’t look too encouraging.

There is no word from the club yet, so it remains to be seen how serious it is, but the Gunners have a woeful record of injuries in recent years.

Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker have also missed much of this season, while Aaron Ramsey has also been unable to get a regular run of games going due to niggling knocks.

Iwobi, 20, has played 33 times for the Arsenal first-team this term, and if nothing else this picture may serve as a reminder that Wenger could do with easing him in a little slower at such a young age.
