Perez, 28, is determined to leave the Emirates this summer after only two Premier League starts under Arsene Wenger since his £17.1million move to north London ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
Earlier this week, Perez’s representative, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, revealed that the Spaniard’s No.9 shirt had been handed to summer signing Alexandre Lacazette without his knowledge.
The striker went on to confirm this, claiming it was an ‘ugly gesture’ from the Gunners and that the incident was the ‘last straw’.
AS suggest Perez’s agent Lovelle jetted into London on Thursday to negotiate his client’s move away and Deportivo La Coruna remain keen on re-signing the attacker.
It’s understood Deportivo have offered Perez a ten-year deal, with a view to him becoming technical secretary upon his retirement.
However, Deportivo’s initial bid of £9m may not be enough to convince Arsenal to sell.
