The injuries are beginning to pile up for Arsenal but we hope this doesn’t affect our title ambition.
The latest injury victim for Arsenal is Hector Bellerin, who suffered an injury during Arsenal training, this is according to Arsene Wenger.
The 21-year-old was not part of the squad which travelled to Preston for the FA Cup third-round clash on Saturday evening.
Despite a poor first half, the Gunners managed to book their place in the fourth round following second-half goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud.
And after the match, Wenger confirmed Bellerin was injured, rather than rested, for the tie against the Championship club.
‘Bellerin was injured yesterday in training,’ Wenger told BT Sport.
The Arsenal boss did not elaborate on the extent of Bellerin’s injury, or the amount of time the right-back will be sidelined.
Bellerin also faced a late fitness test before featuring in the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Wenger is already without Mathieu Debuchy, who is out with a hamstring injury, while 19-year-old Ainsley Maitland-Niles was selected at right-back for the win over Preston.
