Arsenal young gun Emile Smith Rowe insists not even interest from Barcelona could tempt him to leave the club.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder became the first player born in the 2000s to appear for the Gunnerswhen he played in the Europa League against Vorskla Poltava in September.
He has scored three goals in six competitive appearances for the first team to cement his reputation as one of the top talents in world football.
A World Cup winner with England Under 17s, Smith Rowe has been gaining admiring glances from Europe’s elite clubs for some time.
But he has revealed even interest from Barcelona a couple of years ago wasn’t enough to make him contemplate leaving the Emirates.
“I used to watch that Barcelona team, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, when they were in their prime,” he told Sky Sports :
“So when I found out that they were interested of course I was very happy, but I can’t explain to you how much I feel that Arsenal is the right club for me.”
