Napoli have slapped a €100 million price tag on their defender Kalidou Koulibaly as they aim to ward off attention from clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United, according to The Mirror.
The highly rated Senegalese international is a target for Arsenal and Manchester United after once again impressing this season as his side finished second behind league winners Juventus in the Serie A this season.
However, the club have issued a hands-off warning, and as revealed by the club’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, they will only consider a very huge offer.
Arsenal were earlier reported by The Mirror to be preparing a £53 million bid for Koulibaly which in itself would represent a huge profit For Napoli as they signed him for just €7.75 million from KRC Genk four years ago.
Napoli have now moved to discourage them by placing an £88 million (€100m) price tag on his head hoping the interested clubs will baulk at the price.
Whatever move on Arsenal’s part will greatly be determined by how fast they announce a new manager.
