Leon Bailey is one of the most talked about young prospects in the Bundesliga right now and it’s not hard to see why.
Midway through his first full season in German football, Bailey has played a starring role for Leverkusen this season, netting nine goals and providing five assists in 18 appearances across all competitions which has put him on the radar of some of Europe’s top clubs.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be keen on the Jamaican winger, and Kicker note that Arsenal are planning a summer swoop for the 20-year-old, but Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell this month.
Leverkusen manager Jonas Boldt has insisted that Bailey’s best move is to stay and grow at Leverkusen, helping them qualify for the Champions League in the process.
He’s only been here for a year and he’s supposed to play for Bayer Leverkusen,. For him, it’s about to go on and confirm this at another level towards the Champions League – in an environment in which he has established itself.
Bailey has spoken about his desire to play in the Premier League one day and given that Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all said to be interested, that dream could become a reality in the summer.
