Coincidentally, this winter transfer window has become very busy for Wenger as he looks to secure the services of some of his players for long term.
According to report, Oliver Giroud and Francis Coquelin are set to agree Arsenal deal.
Giroud’s current contract expires at the end of next season and Arsenal have moved to tie the striker down to a new contract.
Coquelin’s deal wasn’t meant to run out until 2019 but the club has deemed it fit to reward the midfielder with a new contract after his impressive performances in the last two years.
The aforementioned French duo are expected to put pen to paper sooner as Wenger looks to sustain a major crop of his first team players.
This will come as good news to Gooners as its a big proof that we can keep our best players. Last week, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino took a swipe at Arsenal claiming we can’t keep our best players, this news will go a long way to prove people like Pochettino wrong.
