Tottenham Hotspur have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund, according to Football London.
The German international looks set to leave Dortmund this summer after falling out of the first-team picture at the club, with a move away appearing to be likely.
Gotze, who scored the decisive goal in the 2014 World Cup final for his native Germany, has struggled in recent seasons to make an impact and this has seemingly led him to seek pastures new.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Gotze in recent days but it seems Spurs will look to rival them in their pursuit, according to fresh claims from Football London.
The 26-year-old is claimed to be a long-term target for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who will be looking to continue to build on their positive seasons in recent years.
Gotze could cost a fee of around £18m this summer, which would undoubtedly be of interest to potential suitors such as Spurs and Arsenal.
