Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez is according to goal.com ready to leave Leicester City this summer and could be on his way to Arsenal. This is despite the fact that Leicester City are working hard to ensure they tie him and their other players to longer term deals to avoid losing them to other big clubs.
Already, Arsenal appears to have gotten Jamie Vardy and are now reportedly working on signing Riyad Mahrez from the Foxes. The player reportedly has a release clause of £15 million and is currently earning £35,000 a week which is much less than the £80,000 a week Jamie Vardy currently gets having signed a new deal with Leicester in February. His cheap release clause and low wage will perfect work in Arsenal favour especially as Wenger likes a bargain.
Although Mahrez has been linked with a move to PSG, the Algerian only two months ago confirmed he is not interested in a move back to France saying he prefers to stay in England which means unless Manchester City or Tottenham comes in for him, he will either remain at Leicester City or sign for Arsenal.
He will be a great replacement for Theo Walcott who himself has been subjects of links to Liverpool and West Ham United with the hammers said to be readying a £25 million bid for the Englishman.
