Not Morata – Goal Machine With 31 Goals Set To Join Arsenal For £23.25m

It is no secret that Arsenal are in dire need of a potent striker considering the vacuum that has been created with the career-threatening injury suffered by forward Danny Welbeck which will see him return to first team football in late October according to medical reports.

To make matters worse , French man Oliver Giroud and Theo Walcott were both abysmal after Giroud went 15 games without a Premier League goal. This has made the signing of a first class striker a priority hence Arsenal fans are not surprised with the news that the club are planning to sign Sporting Lisbon’s Algerian forward Islam
Slimani who has been in impressive form for the past two seasons.

According to the Daily Mirror, Sporting value the striker at £23.25 million which is a fee Arsenal would be able to pay if their actions match their words. This is after Arsenal received a massive £100 million from the Premier League after finishing second in the league last season. Slimani’s contract runs until 2020 which will
make his signing slightly difficult .

The striker scored 27 League goals , providing a further six assists for his club as the finished runners-up to rivals Benfica.

  1. Arsenal are not small club and there was never a problem of money it was and it is a problem of attitude of some one who doesn’t like to spend money. The main shareholder said loud and clear that he doesn’t care about Arsenal wining trophies as long as his business making good money and the manager is more than happy to save him money and lower the standard of ambitions and expoectations.
