Schalke 04 winger Leroy Sane is currently been watched by Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Recently Wenger stated that he was monitoring the activities of a few young players in the Bundesliga “You have as well some other players like (Leroy) Sane in Germany.” Wenger said. 20-year-old Leroy Sane, who enjoyed a breakout season for Schalke, guiding the club to finish 5th in the 2015/2016 season with 33 appearances, recording eight goals and making six assists in his first full season for the club.
Arsenal are said to make a £42m for the German attacking midfielder after Germany got kicked out of the Euros by France. Schalke would like to hold on to their promising midfielder, leading to Schalke’s sporting executive Christian Heidel informing Sport Bild: “We have always made it clear that we would be pleased if Leroy Sane remains at Schalke.” Further stating “Leroy Sane has to make a fundamental decision regarding his future after the Euros.”
Schalke will need Sane to make up his mind quickly to avoid a repeat of Julian Draxler’s drawn-out move to Wolfsburg last summer when he left them on the final day of the transfer window. Looks like Wenger and Pep would have to battle it out for Sane’s signature.
