Neil Swarbrick will be in charge of Saturday’s Premier League meeting between Watford and Arsenal at Vicarage Road.
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to Watford. According to the Watford Observer, 51-year-old referee Neil Swarbrick will oversee the game.
Swarbrick hasn’t been in charge of many Arsenal games in recent times. He’s yet to referee a game with the Gunners this season, and oversaw just the two matches last season. Both were against West Brom.
So far this season, Swarbrick has issued 12 yellow cards and no red cards in five Premier League games. He’s also yet to award a penalty. His tally of 125 yellows and three reds last season suggests he’s one of the more lenient referees around.
He also only awarded five penalties in the Premier League last season, but Arsenal tend not to get many of those, anyway. As for the Londoners, Arsenal go into the game having won six of their last seven games in all competitions.
Recent wins over West Brom and Brighton have seen us rise up to fifth in the table. Watford, meanwhile, are eighth, having lost just once so far this season. Marco Silva has tightened up their defence and they could pose a stiff challenge for us.
Arsenal have yet win away from home in the Premier League this season.
