Borussia Dortmund’s keeper Roman Weidenfeller has confirmed that he and his team mates are now scared of Arsenal after the gunners completed the 42.5 million pounds signing of Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil. Arsenal completed the signing of Ozil on the very last day of the transfer window in a transfer deal that will surprise even Wenger.
Roman Weidenfeller believes the Gunners are now a big threat to his club now after they signed Ozil. Dortmund was grouped alongside Arsenal, Italian giants Napoli and French team Olympic Marseille in Group F of the champions league which kicks off proper on the 17th of this month.
“Arsenal have gained enormous quality with Ozil,” Weidenfeller told Bild. “Napoli have also reinforced. This will be a great challenge.”
Arsenal will start their UEFA champions league group matches with a trip to France to face French deputy champions Marseille on the 18th of September. They first encounter between Dortmund and Arsenal will take place on the 22nd of October.
