The Petr Cech’s transfer saga to Arsenal has dragged on for far too long and could still be held up by Chelsea’s refusal to allow an additional goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon to follow the 33-year-old to the Emirates next season.
The awards winning Czech goalkeeper was spotted having his medicals at the north London club on Friday, he has also agreed personal terms with the Emirates’ side ahead of a reported £11m move.
We recall that Lollichon moved to the Stamford Bridge as far back in 2007, he linked up with Cech for a second time having coached him at Rennes when the Czech stopper was a regular at the club.
Though Cech is in keen support for Lollichon to move on to the Gunners with him, the coach recently revealed there are portions within his contract that are yet to be completed over the move and suggested Chelsea would be so unwilling to allow for a move.
When he was questioned he said, For now, it does not matter. No contact has been made, I do not know if this has been discussed between the two clubs, but I do not think Chelsea will be favourable.’
This needs to be resolved by Arsenal so the team can have a successful preseason games with the goalkeeper.
