Arsenal’s Premier League day opening tale continued yesterday after a shock defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates.
Arsenal’s defense looked shaby with Calum Chambers and New boy Holdings at the heart of defense but a top striker would have been the difference for Arsenal.
Reports making the rounds claims Arsenal target Aleksandre Lacazette has admitted to be happy with Lyon but refused to rule out a move to Arsenal if we offer the right price for him.
The French striker became the first striker in the opening round of Ligue 1 to score a hatrick for nine years as Lyon thumped Nancy by 3-0.
Lacazette, 24, has been on the radar of Arsenal but the French outfit rebuffed Arsenal’s first offer for the player. The player now claims, there are offer that he would not be able to refuse.
“If there are offers that can’t be refused, I’d like to not refuse them,” Lacazette told French TV show Canal Football Club.
“But I’m very comfortable at Lyon. The proof was there today that I was in the right state of mind.”I scored three goals – I’m pleased. With my team-mates, everything is going well. So for me all is well.”
The manager of Lyon Bruno Genesio had said same earlier in the month, when he said the player could leave only if the offers are irrefutable.
“He can leave if Lyon want him to. There are some offers that you cannot refuse,” the manager of the French club said, as quoted by the Mirror.
