After beating Preston North End in the FA Cup, Arsenal have now turned attention to the Premier League game against Swansea next weekend.
However, Arsene Wenger has sanction a loan deal for Jon Toral to Rangers.
And Gers chiefs want to unveil the player tomorrow as part of a double deal.
Despite being highly rated, the attacking midfielder Toral, 21, has returned to Arsenal after a frustrating loan stint with Spanish side Granada.
The Spaniard has taken on Barcelona in the Nou Camp this term but that was one of just six appearances he has registered for the La Liga side.
Wenger believes swapping southern Spain for Scotland will benefit the 21-year-old more.
Asked whether the move to Warburton’s side would benefit Toral, Wenger said: “Yes, because he has played games there [for Granada] but at the moment he doesn’t play and personally I think it would be a good transition for him.”
