Medical Passed: Arsenal Agree Personal Terms With Club For Highly Coveted & Versatile CB

In a bid to secure the future of Arsenal, the Arsenal academy are ensuring that players are nurtured per time through a deliberate developmental program.

Reports reaching us says Arsenal 19-year-old defender Stefan O’Connor has been sent on loan to Dutch side MVV Maastricht.

O’Connor joined Arsenal in 2010 from Crystal Palace.  The young star consistently impressed at Arsenal and was handed a professional contract in 2014.

However, the England born defender was sent on loan in the November of last year to League two’s York where he was starred regularly for the club.

The tough-tackling centre back now joins Eerste Divisie  Club who play Helmand Sport today (Friday), in order to gain some regular experience in a competitive league. The Dutch team typically float around mid-table in the Eerste Divisie, having briefly been promoted to Eredivisie in the 1970s and ’80s.

If Arsenal is loaning him out so readily, you have to consider whether he’s one for the future or whether we just want to train him up and sell him on. Given our club’s philosophy, I doubt it’s the second option.

Goodluck to him!!!!!
