According to Famous football journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, Arsenal has agreed personal terms with Chelsea long-term target and Everton centre-forward Romelu Lukaku.
Rivals Chelsea are hell bent to re-sign their former player and Belgian striker, who has been in scintillating form since making the switch from Stamford bridge to Goodison park, last term he scored 19 goals for the Toffees, but now it is believed that Arsenal are ready to beat their London rivals Chelsea in the race for the signature of the Belgian international striker.
The Emirate club is in dire need of a quality striker to replace unimpressive French international striker Olivier Giroud, especially after missing out on England international striker Jamie Vardy, it is thought that Arsene Wenger is seeking an alternative for the Leicester City forward and identified the big striker as his no.1 transfer priority this summer.
Rivals Chelsea are very worried about the unsettled Spain international striker Diego Costa who is believed to be interested in heading back to Athletico Madrid, and thee Blues will be very disappointed should Lukaku make a switch to the Emirate.
The Belgian forward, who is supposedly valued at £65m by Everton, was named as one of the ten most promising youngster in Europe by The Guardian in 2014.
Should Arsenal eventually sign Lukaku, it could increase Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League next season.
