Matteo Guendouzi has shed light on what qualities he will bring to the Arsenal team following his move to The Emirates.
The Gunners signed the promising France teenager in a reported £7m deal from Ligue 1 side FC Lorient in the summer transfer window.
Guendouzi has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the north London side to inject some youth in the Arsenal team ahead of the new season.
The 19-year-old made 30 appearances in all competitions during two seasons in FC Lorient’s first-team to build a promising reputation.
Guendouzi, who has been likened to FC Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets, will compete with new signing Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny for a starting spot.
Asked about his style of play, the new Arsenal signing discussed what he will be able to bring to the Gunners team.
“I’m a player who likes to get on the ball and use it,” Guendouzi told Arsenal’s website.
“I like keeping possession and to play, too. Playing the ball, linking up with my team-mates, battling for the team.
“I want to win every game – that’s really important to me. I’d say my main quality is keeping the ball and my passing.”
Arsenal finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a Champions League spot for the second successive season.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Arsene Wenger masterminded their famous unbeaten campaign.
The north London side have signed five players in the summer transfer window so far since Unai Emery’s appointment.
